There are plenty of treasures, both hidden and immediately available, for players to access across the four faction worlds in World of Warcraft: Shadowlands. After reaching Level 60 in World of Warcraft: Shadowlands, players can select a Covenant for their character to join. Each Covenant serves a different purpose in Azeroth’s Afterlife, and each Covenant has their own designated area. After players select their Covenant, they can still go after the treasures and secrets in the other Covenants’ locations. Finding hidden treasures in each area will contribute to an achievement players can earn for that location: Treasures of Ardenweald, Treasures of Bastion, Treasures of Revendreth, and Treasures of Maldraxxus.
In Bastion, home of the Kyrian Covenant, players can find 15 hidden Treasures to earn the Treasures of Bastion achievement. The Gift of Vesiphone treasure is one of these that requires players to deal with elite mobs and get the Proof of Purity buff to open. The reward for retrieving this treasure is Purity, a white baby fox battle pet that can help a player character in fights. The Gift of Vesiphone is one of the harder Treasures of Bastion to obtain, and players will need to go in prepared for a difficult fight. Here’s how to get the Gift of Vesiphone and the Purity pet drop in World of Warcraft: Shadowlands.
Though players can visit Bastion prior to reaching level 60, they will only be able to go after the Gift of Vesiphone after reaching this maximum level. Then, they will need to head to Bastion at coordinates 64.9, 71.1, east of Aspirant’s Rest. They will need to enter the Purity’s Pinnacle tower.
Near and inside the tower, players are likely to run into elite mobs at this location. There are a few ways to get around them. The easiest will likely be to take a mount and simply run past them before they can engage. Players can choose to fight, if they would prefer. If they are killed during combat, they can simply run past them again. There are no enemies to contend with within the back of the tower where players find the treasure.
Less obvious but equally as viable as a method of getting around the elites, players can wait for the world quest Vesiphone’s Vicious Vesper to trigger. Once they complete the world quest, if they go straight for the treasure, the elites stay neutral and will not bother the player as they run to defeat the final boss of that quest. Once the boss has been defeated, they can run up the stairs to reach the Gift of Vesiphone treasure chest unimpeded.
There are two Bells of Purification near the treasure chest. Players will need to ring either one and defeat a mob that spawns. Afterward, they will need to stand under the waterfall across from the chest to get the buff Proof of Purity.
With the buff active, players should loot the chest. They will receive Purity as a battle pet and a random drop that will usually include coins and food, weapons or gear, or junk items that can be sold.
World of Warcraft: Shadowlands is available for PC and Mac.
