Umbral Bees are an interesting leveling tool within Ghosts ‘n Goblins Resurrection, making them worth looking out for throughout any play-through. Building up enough Umbral Bees will allow players to invest them into their Umbral Tree, granting Arthur new magic skills and spells to use on his way through the game. He’ll become more prepared and defended until he reaches the end of the game.
While players may stumble into an Umbral Bee or two, they aren’t actually out in the open for players to see most of the time. Instead, Umbral Bees need to be triggered to show up. Once triggered, players will need to collect them before they fly too far out of sight or the player dies before reaching the next flagpole.
Most, if not all of the Umbral Bees are triggered based on proximity. This will allow the player to easily go on a whim and head down every single extra pathway in the hopes of an Umbral Bee showing themselves to the player. Luckily, the game takes some of the guesswork out of the situation, by labeling how many Umbral Bees are within each part of the map. Although, after the player goes back through the shadow versions of each of those maps, they will have a completely different number of enemies.
There is generally only a handful per area within the game. Below are the locations of all four within the Graveyard section of the game. This will give players a good idea of where they will need to look in future areas. Generally, the more explored an area is, the more likely the player will have found all the Umbral Bees there.
