Turns out even superheroes have trouble getting bank loans. In The Falcon and the Winter Soldier Episode 1, Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes both struggled to adapt to a post-Endgame world after spending three years as piles of dusty. But a cliffhanger finale, the Marvel series is expected to pick up in Falcon and Winter Soldier Episode 2.
But how many episodes are left in Falcon and the Winter Soldier? What’s Marvel’s release schedule for Disney+ shows? Will we get TFATWS Season 2? Here’s everything you need to know while you wait for Episode 2.
There are six episodes total in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Based on Episode 1, it seems we can expect the average episode length to be roughly 40 minutes, though if this series is like WandaVision the last few episodes might be a little longer.
Either way, now seems like the right time to shoot down any rumors of a 6-hour season. We’ve been through this before with WandaVision, let’s not set our expectations too high all over again.
So far, just the one.
With six episodes total and one already released, there are five episodes of Falcon and the Winter Soldier left before the big finale.
Just like with WandaVision and The Mandalorian, Disney is only releasing one episode per week. That’s annoying if you’re the type of person who likes to binge an entire show in one sitting, but great for anyone who loves analyzing and discussing each episode.
As far as we can tell, Disney has no plans to change this strategy any time soon, though there has been at least one rumor claiming that Marvel’s What If…? could drop all at once when it premieres later this year.
As far as we know, the answer is just one. Marvel seems to be treating these Disney+ shows more like miniseries than regular TV shows. So it’s more likely Falcon and the Winter Soldier will lead directly into a movie or even a different miniseries in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Then again, as Kevin Feige previously said, when it comes to the MCU, anything is possible. Here’s what the Marvel Studios boss said at a press conference for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier:
Depending on how Falcon and the Winter Soldier ends, it feels like this buddy-comedy adventure could be a good candidate for a Season 2 — unless Falcon becomes Captain America and heads off for Avengers 5.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier streams Fridays on Disney+.
